You’ve been blogging and writing content for weeks or months now, but it’s not getting shared. Why not?
There are a few reasons why your content may not be shared through social channels, but they all basically boil down to one thing – your audience. You’re not reaching it.
Either you are writing the content that your target audience isn’t interested in, you’re not targeting the right audience for your content, or you aren’t answering the most pressing questions that your target audience wants answered. Here’s a quick way to fix each of these issues.
- Wrong Content – If you aren’t writing the right content for your target audience, then stop what you are doing and talk to some of your customers. What kind of content do they want to read?
- Not targeting the right audience – Follow a few blogs in your niche that are reaching the target audience you want to reach. Join the discussion by leaving a few comments on posts. If you draw the right audience to your blog, they’ll tell you what to write about.
- Answering the right questions – Just like you would to find out what content to write, ask your audience what their questions are. Ask it on your blog, in your newsletter, and in forums. What questions do your customers ask when they interact with you? That’s what you should be writing about.
If you write the correct content and target it toward the right audience, you’ll start seeing your content shared more often.
