Why shouldn’t Google reward Google+ page owners with top rankings? After all, if you have the content and it’s relevant, then your Google+ page benefits the search engine. A well-targeted Google+ page that is relevant, branded, and updated regularly can be a shortcut to grandiose SEO. And it doesn’t matter how big or small your business is.

Let’s face it, social cues are now a part of your SEO efforts – like it or not. And Google+ is a big part of that for Google. Especially if your business is a local business.

Dont’t fight it. Embrace it.

Build yourself a branded Google+ page that links back to your website in your About section. Here’s a hint: Fill out that About section to the hilt. I mean, tell your story. Don’t skim on the content. Then, update your page with status updates 2 or 3 times a day. Again, don’t skimp on this. Make your status updates 2-3 paragraphs each – with or without a link. You are building content that will last a long time.
