I have set-up my Google Alerts to notify me whenever someone online mentions me or this blog … at first when you think about it, that seems rather like too much navel-gazing – however, it’s actually a great technique in terms of managing your online reputation. By setting your Google Alerts properly, you can find out whenever someone has mentioned you – or your company – online. You can also set an Alert to let you know whenever your industry, product, service – or anything else you want to track – is mentioned online. It’s a great way to stay on top of what’s going on.
I was going through my Alerts today and discovered that Anita Campbell over at Small Business Trends had stumbled across my blog, and I was honored that she mentioned me in her list of new noteworthy blogs to check out. She runs a great blog filled with small business tips and it’s always a great read. I recommend you check it out if you haven’t done so previously – and, her posts on new noteworthy business blogs are a great way to find additional new blogs you might not have discovered otherwise!
