Have you been trying to think of ways
to increase you Opt-in list and get a handle on your
efforts in internet marketing? One way to do this is
by using a squeeze page on your website, it is considered
to be one of most efficient ways to build your list.
If you’re not quite sure what a squeeze page
is, according to the website, http://www.webopedia.com,
an online encyclopedia, “a squeeze page is a Web
page that contains information that would interest the
marketer's targeted readers. Squeeze pages are designed
to obtain a reader's name and e-mail address information
by encouraging users to opt-in to an e-mail list to
receive more information about the topic. Marketers
will collect the permission-based e-mail and information
to follow up at a later date.”
There is still some disagreement as to the exact definition
of a squeeze page. Some believe web pages that provide
hyperlinks to additional information as well as e-mail
opt-in list sign-ups to be a squeeze page, while others
in the business believe only those pages limited to
just an e-mail sign-up are what is considered a squeeze
page.
No matter what your definition of a squeeze page is,
the desired end result is the same. Squeeze pages, if
done correctly, are designed to get the name and email
address information from anyone who visits your website.
This is valuable information that you can add to your
opt-in list, which allows you to follow up with further
information at a later date.
Your squeeze page should have a catchy heading for
it’s title; make the title in large bold letters
inside of quotes. The content of your page should include
a numbered or bulleted list that gives your visitors
a list of great reasons why they should sign-up. Don’t
make your squeeze page too long, and limit the number
of choices your visitors can make. Remember, the main
purpose of your squeeze page is to get them to sign-up.
At the bottom of your squeeze page you should place
either a link to a sign-up form or the form itself.
It’s also good to offer a free gift or eBook when
the visitors sign-up for membership on your website.
Be sure to have a follow up message to confirm their
registration so they know they are not receiving spam.
It’s important to remember that once you get
your visitors to sign-up to your squeeze page you need
to send them newsletters that deliver something of value.
You want to keep their interest so that they will keep
subscribing to your site. If you sell items on your
website, this can be a great promotional tool.
Just by adding a squeeze page you can increase your
opt-in list from 30% on up. A squeeze page that is done
right can result in the ultimate e-mail building list
that really delivers. For a small business either just
getting started or trying to build their clientele,
the end result of using a squeeze page is a reliable
customer database that you can depend on.
